i thought that i'd be so much better
i thought that i'd feel better, better
i thought that i'd be OK
i thought that i--
i thought that i'd
come to terms with it all;
to terms with the fall
i thought that i'd be so much better
i thought that i'd feel better, better
i thought that i'd be OK
i thought that i'd be OK
i thought you'd save me from the deep, dark water
i thought you'd sieve me from the noise and fodder
i thought that i would thrive
i thought that i'd be alive,
and not have to dive
through the forest, by the light of the moon:
'saw a robin, 'tried to stop my croon
i thought that that i'd be so much better
i thought that i'd feel better, better
i thought that i'd be OK
i thought that i'd be OK
i thought you'd save me from the deep, dark water
i thought you'd sieve me from the noise and fodder
i thought that i would thrive
i thought that i'd be alive,
and not have to dive
i haven't got much sleep-
turn to page 260 in Nigellissima:
'eggs in purgatory'
i cannot wait to eat them, and fall back to hell
i rather want to die
don't worry, y'all, hyperbole wins every time
i'm just a soap inside;
a dirty boy who rather needs a hue and cry
i thought (you'd save me from)
i thought (you'd sieve me from)
i thought that i would thrive
i thought that i'd be alive,
and not have to dive
not have to dive
hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me,
hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me,
hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me,
hold me, hold me, hold me, ...

A stellar singer-songwriter. She inspires much of my musical DNA. This album creeps up on you in the best way. Recommended for rainy day listening. Sacha Mullin
Brilliant union of early music and rock. Strong Cardiacs vibes. I find a lot of chamber rock to be meandering and aimlessly angular. However this stuff is different, the compositions are extremely tight and diverse. The instrumentation is sparse and rickety, but has these brilliant flashes of grandiose orchestration, it's very balanced. I don't think I've heard a more successful integration of early music into modern forms before. Absolutely a modern masterpiece of progressive "weird" music. impressivelad
